LAV SOL means ‘low sun’ in Norwegian. The trio was formed in Trondheim in 2021 to create improvised music inspired by electronica, hip-hop and rock. A foundation of acoustic instruments blends with electronica. Working with graphic scores, composing with riffs and creating structures, the improvisations and the visuals complement each other.

to an adventure through different sonic rooms.
On this record, delicate notes metamorphose into
potent crescendos, while purposeful pauses embrace
silence as a nuanced tool. The dynamic interplay
between acoustic and electronic elements introduces
layers of depth, giving rise to moments of both
harmony and discord.
LAV SOL ventures into a
sonic canvas, playfully painting with pulses,
textures, and intricate layers of sound. The outcome
is a radiant expression, akin to the sun rising or
gently settling for dawn.
